Meet Rebecca!
I’ve known this girl for quite some time now and I was excited to be able to take her senior photos. We were able to get some great shots around the UT campus and I’m so happy with how these turned out. We had a beautiful day and the lighting was absolutely fantastic, despite the fact that it felt like 100 degrees. Rebecca was a real trooper and was so flexible and easy to work with.
Rebecca, I hope you love this little sneak peak!

Cari and I have been wanting to do this shoot for quite some time now. We’re excited to share these with you, but I don’t think we could have foreseen how freakin’ adorable she was going to look in this little outfit!
Avery is 21 months and I can’t believe she is almost 2. SLOW DOWN!!!
This shoot was a whole lot of fun. Avery was in a spectacular mood and we had a beautiful day at Mayfield Park. Avery was introduced to peacocks and they have quickly become her favorite animal, even though they weren’t quite as fond of her.
I can’t express how overjoyed I am to have such a beautiful and ridiculously entertaining daughter. She has me grinning from ear to ear and I hope you will too after seeing these photos. Enjoy!

Check out this beautiful family! I felt so lucky to take pictures of their new little addition, Lola. She’s got beautiful, big eyes and is so incredibly interested in observing this crazy big world.
She’s 6 weeks old and she was a little too alert for those sleepy newborn photos, but we had such a great home to work with and lots of opportunities for some great photos. The view from their back patio was absolutely gorgeous.
It was great to meet you guys, and thank you for letting me take pictures of your sweet baby girl! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

It’s been a long time since I’ve taken the time to observe a sunset. Fortunately for me, while I was doing one of my shoots this week, I stuck around long enough to see one. Thought I’d share this breath-taking view with you!

I’m a little jealous of this view. Can you imagine waking up to this view every day?

I’ve known this family for quite some time now. Lindsay and I go way back to our Midland days in the 7th grade, while Rob and I were roommates for a year during college. So, when I got a call from them saying that they would like to do a shoot with me while they were in town, I got really excited. I hadn’t seen Rob and Lindsay for almost 5 years! Way too long. Most of all, I was really excited to finally catch up with them and meet their precious daughter.
We were worried leading up to the weekend of the shoot because the weather was just not cooperating. We’d had several days of rain and the forecast for the Sunday that we had scheduled the shoot kept changing. Knowing that they were not going to be in town for that long, we set a hard date and hoped and prayed for a beautiful day. God answered our prayers. A couple hours before the shoot, the clouds rolled back and the sun came out to greet us.
I had such a great time with this family. Thank you guys for thinking of me and making our little get-together so enjoyable.

I’m so excited to share with you Marcus and Valerie’s big day!
I’ve known Valerie for quite some time now. When Cari and I first started volunteering with the youth group at our church, Valerie and her twin sister Vanessa were part of the first group of teens that we had the pleasure to lead and serve. She might be, quite possibly, one the sweetest people you have ever met. She’s constantly thinking of others and has always had a passion in serving the Lord. I believe it’s this passion that called her to join AIM (Adventures in Missions). Through this program, Valerie met Marcus, a fellow AIMer, and it has now led us to this special and joyous occasion.
This wedding was uniquely special in that it showcased the type of couple Marcus and Valerie represent and the type of people they surround themselves with. The wedding was located in the beautiful rustic Chapel Dulincea in south Austin. The view was breathtaking and the chapel was the perfect spot for such an intimate gathering of both family and close friends. The ceremony was elegant and simple, but I think what stood out to me was the couple’s intentions of honoring God with their union by serving communion to all of their guests. A beautiful symbol, I think, of service and gratitude. I’ve tried to represent some of that in this post.
After the ceremony, I was fortunate to pull the newly married couple aside for just a few minutes to take several pictures of them around the beautiful chapel.
I’m grateful for having had the opportunity to shoot this wedding and especially grateful to see Valerie marry such a great guy. Congratulations Marcus and Valerie! I wish you both a long and meaningful future together.

It’s been too long since I’ve updated you about my daughter. It’s hard to believe that this little girl is turning 2 in as little as 4 months. She’s getting bigger, smarter, and funnier than ever. She’s such a joy and a blessing that it’s hard to express how much she has changed our lives for the better.
There are three different shoots that I’d like to share with you.
One of the most difficult things about being a photographer is that most times I find myself behind the camera and rarely in front of it. This past Christmas, a challenge was presented to me by my wife to take a family picture. As you might image, this request is easier said than done with a one year old in the mix. Thanks to my in-laws and their patient persistence to capturing my daughter’s attention by making goofy faces while jumping around, we finally succeeded. Thanks Terry and Lisa!

A few weeks later, we saw a really neat idea on Pinterest that we just had to try out. I think it turned out pretty awesome. This girl cracks me up on some of these!

I can’t finish this blog without showing the two most important women in my life. You can see where Avery gets her good looks!

I had such a great time with the Corley family last week taking pictures of their precious little girl. She’s turning 1 this month and she couldn’t be any sweeter. I just love how these pictures seem to capture her sweet (no pun intended) personality.
I just want to thank the Corleys for asking me to capture this special moment and introducing me to a new location close to downtown Austin! After this shoot, I’m definitely going back.

Meet my Brazilian family!
For the first 12 years of my life I lived in Brazil, and the Zanattas were very much a huge part of my life in those formidable years. So as you might imagine, I was excited to hear that they were going to be in town and ecstatic when they asked me to take their family portraits. For much of the clan, this was their first time in Austin, so I was thrilled to be able to do a shoot as well as show them some of the sites around Austin.
I love this family and I hate to see them go. I just hope it won’t take us another 8 years to see each other again.
Thank you Zanatta family for giving me the privilege of taking your family portraits!

Meet the Millers!
I’ve known this couple for a while now, but it was my first time to have ever met these two sweet little boys. I feel honored to have taken pictures of this family because by the end of the year, these two little boys’ daddy will be deploying for a full year and they made sure to fit me into their busy holiday schedule.
You’d never know it, but I shot this in the middle of December! I’m not complaining…I think some of these pictures turned out absolutely beautiful due to the fall colored leaves. Millers, I hope you love these pictures as much as I do!
